    GottaBeMobile.com Highlights N800

    The folks at GottaBeMobile.com have taken a look at Jeremy Wagstaff's excellent post on the Nokia N800 Internet Tablet and weighed in with some comments saying that Jeremy's argument that the N800 is really a UMPC "has a lot of merit.."

    Loose Wire's Jeremy Wagstaff On the Nokia N800 In Wall Street Journal

    Jeremy Wagstaff authors a wonderful blog called LooseWire. He also writes from Asia on consumer and business technology with the kind of perspective that blends a sense of well timed humor from his British upbringing with Asian pragmatism.

    Now You Can Upgrade The N800 OS

    Maemo.org reports that a new version with lots of enhancements, including Skype support, has been released.

    Nokia has just announced an update to the Internet Tablet OS 2007 edition, feature upgrade release is now available for download. The update (version number 4.2007.26-8) includes Skype client support, Adobe® Flash® 9 browser plug-in, improvements in online use times and single memory card support up to 8 GB. Also delightful new pre-installed content is available.

    To check the version number of the current software on your device, Go to Tools > Control panel > About product.

    You can update the software on your Nokia N800 Internet Tablet using your compatible Windows PC (see also the instructions for Linux ). Hook up your Nokia N800 Internet Tablet to your computer and launch the Internet Tablet Software Update wizard. The wizard will automatically update your device with the latest software release. If you have not yet installed the Internet Tablet Software update wizard onto your computer, please see instructions at http://nokia.com/support

    Tehrani Goes On Vacation With the Nokia N800

    Rich Tehrani has hit the road for a summer vacation and has taken his Nokia N800 Internet Tablet with him.

    Rich is discovering what others in the Nokia Blogger Relations Program have learned about the N800 that with WiFi and MuniWiFi becoming more ubiquitous that the N800 is one very sweet device.
